6 Weeks down and 11 to go! As a reminder, I have already used (team's ESPN power ranking shown in parantheses):
Week 1 - Bears (12)
Week 2 - Packers (15)
Week 3 - Patriots (3)
Week 4 - Falcons (7)
Week 5 - Colts (5)
Week 6 - Steelers (1)
So I still have some good team's left (Notably Jets, Ravens, and Saints). This week there are two potential blowouts on the schedule for me to choose from: Bills at Ravens is the worst team playing the 4th best team and Browns and Saints is the 3rd worst at the 6th best team. The Saints I want to save for week 11 when they have the largest projected blowout on the calendar of the teams I still have available. So, I'm going with the Ravens this week as this is their easiest game left on the 2010 schedule and no other future weeks when they would present the best choice as well.

I just joined a survivor pool that limits your choices to road teams. What does your model say the best road team to pick in week 7?

ReplyDeletethe model no longer likes MIN for week 9. Saints, Jets, and Texans are all better week 9 options. Right now, the model is leaning towards Texans in week 9, but that of course may change as the power rankings continue to be updated every week.

ReplyDeleteIn order to help you I would need to know which teams you have already used. Also, that kind of a specific request would require extra programming to the model (so that it only evaluates the road teams), so you might have to visit the "Show your appreciation" link above and to the right.
You could have got a terrific half of the period, and be thinking of forming the matches later this season. Your Week 7 fantasy football standings could simply be an example of your season, and it is not a respectful manner. If you act in a fantasy football league that bugs out weekly, Week 7 fantasy football might have an enormous week for you, or a terrible week, depending upon your players behaved.
